V Rentals: The Future Of Renting

Written by  |  Saturday, 29 September 2012 13:21  |  Published in Competition
Tagged under

You know those nights when you're out at the bar having a drink and you think to yourself, "Man, this would be so much better if I were toasting a mini version of myself"? Or what if a chimpanzee was serving us our drinks from a silver platter? Or imagine if I could get a unicorn to take me home instead of a taxi?

Thanks to V-Rentals, these dilemmas are now a thing of the past.

Brought to us by V Energy drink, V-Rentals offers to rent the things we really need. Things like a Monkey Butler to serve chips and V, a Mini You, a Unicorn Chauffeur, Bodybuilder Removalists to make your next move that much easier, a Jacuzzi Truck (no explanation necessary) and Fixie Farthings - because tell me what could possibly be cooler than that?

The clever campaign is presented in a series of entertaining documentary style webisodes. They follow head of V-Rentals, entrepeneur Glen Gibbons and his casting directors Cole (Dave Collins of The Umbilical Brothers) and stand-up comic Paul Ayre as they attempt to find the people who will play the parts of the V-Rentals.

V have struck gold with this campaign. The webisodes themselves are pretty genius, but the concept of a company renting experiences? Awesome. I mean, I really want a unicorn chauffeur, but maybe only for a couple of days. Does anyone even know what those things eat?
